FAQ

Why should I spend the money if I can do it myself?

A professionally written resume is an investment that can offer a high return on your money. For example, if you earn $40,000 per year, this averages to a little over $150 per day. Say your resume cuts your job search by just 4 weeks, then your return on investment is over $3000 to you. Wow! You can certainly try to write your resume, but the cost of having your resume written by a professional should not be a major factor in your decision.

How do I get started?

It is simple. A professional resume writer will contact you shortly after you respond to the automatic email you will receive immediately after ordering through our secure website and will work with you one-on-one until you are satisfied with your resume. If you do not receive the email, please send your current resume and contact information to Jill@CincinnatiResumes.com

How long will it take to get my resume?

Once you have a phone interview with your Professional Resume Writer you will have your resume emailed to you in 24-96 hours. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee. Please email info@cincinnatiresumes.com for more details.

Do I really need a cover letter?

Yes! Never send a resume without a cover letter unless the job advertisement specifically asks you not to send a cover letter. Your cover letter is your first opportunity to introduce yourself, present your qualifications, and may be your only chance to tell your story and secure an interview.

Cover letters allow you, in narrative form, to tell the employer exactly why interviewing and hiring you is the best decision.

Can you guarantee my privacy?

Absolutely, we will NEVER share your personal, contact or credit card information with anyone.

Are resume writing services tax-deductible?

Paying for a professional resume writing service is usually tax-deductible.

This includes the writer service fees, resume paper and many other costs associated with finding a job. Please consult your local tax professional with any questions regarding this.

In what formats will my resume be created and sent to me in?

You will get your resume in PDF, MS Word and  ASCII/Plain-Text. An Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) file is the best format for sending your resume via email because it maintains the original formatting and provides high-quality printing. You will also receive a Rich Text Format file, which you can save in Microsoft Word and other processing applications. ASCII/Text is used for posting resumes to web sites, it can be read by any program, but it does not provide any formatting options. You will receive a short e-Book with your order that will explain in detail when to use each format of your new resume.

How do I know which level I need to select when ordering my resume?

There are 4 career levels that you could choose from and these have been listed below for your benefit. The Entry Level: This level is for college or university students or recent graduates as well as professionals with 0-2 years work experience. The Professional Level: Meant for professionals who already have over 2 years of experience and occupy a position in their profession. The Executive Level: Intended for C-level professionals, Directors, VP, Principals, or General Managers etc. The Military/Federal Level: seeking a federal or goverment job. Also for our servicemen/women returning from duty. Please send an email to info@cincinnatiresumes.com with a little information about your work history if you have any question about what level you are.

Why should I hire a professional to write my resume?

The majority of resumes not written by a professional have been relatively weak. A major contributing factor to this weakness is that they not only look plain and boring, they do not highlight your skills in an easy to read manner. They just do not stand out and attract attention. These are the resumes that are glanced over and end up in the trash or filed away never to be seen again. If you are not being called for interviews after sending out or posting your resume, your resume needs improvement. You may have issues or problems in your job history that you do not know how to handle in your resume or are unsure of how to convey your attributes.

We will create you a resume that gets results! A Professional Resume Writer knows the keywords that hiring managers and electronic scanners look for. We know how to present your qualifications effectively so that you get the interview. A professionally written resume is an investment that can offer a high return on your money.
